The city is known for its huge city parks, and the Cişmigiu Garden is a must-visit.
Palace of the Parliament: This iconic landmark is the second-largest administrative building in the world and a testament to Romania’s history.

The playful sculpture in front of the National Theatre in Bucharest is a tribute to Romania’s beloved playwright, Ion Luca Caragiale. Sculpted by Constantin Baraschi, located on Maria Rosetti Street. It was placed in front of the house where the dramatist and short story writer Ion Luca once lived.

Heliade Rădulescu, also known as Eliade Rădulescu, he was a significant figure in Romanian history.

He was a prolific translator of foreign literature into Romanian and authored books on linguistics and history. He played a major role in shaping the modern Romanian language.
His legacy, as founding member and the first president of the Romanian Academy. He is considered one of the foremost champions of Romania culture from the first half of the 19th century.

Gheorghe Lazăr, also known as George Lazar, was one of the first wave of Romanian Transylvanian teachers to shape schooling in both Wallachia and Moldavia throughout the 19th century. He became gravely ill in 1821 and returned to his home village of Avrig, where he died.

The Memorial of Rebirth (Memorialul Renașterii in Romanian) is a memorial in Bucharest, Romania that commemorates the struggles and victims of the Romanian Revolution of 1989, which overthrew Communism. The memorial complex was inaugurated in August 2005 in Revolution Square, where Romania’s Communist-era dictator, Nicolae Ceaușescu, was publicly overthrown in December 1989.

Today, the Palace of the Parliament houses the two chambers of the Parliament of Romania: the Senate (Senat) and the Chamber of Deputies (Camera Deputaților), along with three museums and an international conference center.


The Palace of the Parliament is one of the heaviest buildings in the world, weighing about 4,098,500 tonnes (9.04 billion pounds), and is also the second-largest administrative building in the world12. The fountains are working during the day and are quite interesting but on weekend nights the roads are closed and they’re turned into “singing and dancing” fountains. What a show !!
