Plitvice National Park – This is a beautiful park with lakes, waterfalls, and a blanket of trees. See the lakes up close with a long stroll inches above the water, on wooden plank walkway. Plus a luxuriously calm boat ride. Also visit the the Plitvice Caves. This one of several UNESCO World Heritage Site in the region.

Plitvice National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A wonderful place for a walk in nature. Click the link below to learn more. Fourteen lakes, with more lakes being made. The caves are a feature also.

St. Peter’s Parish Church Ljubljana – This church just has to be included here. It is so beautiful. Also check out the Treasury. The modern doors are simply amazing.

Lake Bled and Bled Island in southern Slovenia. Near the Croatian border, Croatians and Slovenians vacation in this idyllic locale. This little church is on an island, in the middle of the lake, accessible by boat. The Interior is incredible! Don’t miss the museum and climb the bell tower for views across the lake.
